Some of the best ideas come from frustration. For us, it was the kind of frustration every angler knows — standing on the water with a full tackle box, throwing everything you've got, and still not getting a bite.

We knew there had to be a better way.

That question sent us down a path that would take nine months of research, testing, and refinement — and ultimately lead to something the fishing world had never seen before: soft plastic fishing lures infused with hempseed oil.

Who We Are

Deadly Lures is a proudly American-made fishing lure company based in North Carolina. We're not a big corporation. We're anglers — people who grew up with a rod in hand and never lost the passion for the sport.

Our founder has been fishing since he was old enough to hold a rod. Growing up in a military family, fishing wasn't just a hobby — it was a tradition. Some of his most treasured memories are the annual trips to Canada with his grandfather and their hunting and fishing club, sometimes 30 trucks deep, loaded with boats and the kind of camaraderie that only happens on the water. Those trips, those moments, are why Deadly Lures exists.

After years as a firefighter and a lifetime as an angler, the mission became clear: build a lure that actually works harder for the fisherman.

The Canna-Lure Process

Canna-Lure is our proprietary, multi-step process of infusing hempseed oil directly into our soft plastic lures. It took nine months to develop — not because it was simple, but because we refused to release it until it was truly effective and lasting.

The result is a lure that works on a level traditional plastics simply can't match.

Every Deadly Lures Soft Plastic Lure is handcrafted in North Carolina. Our crankbaits come to us as blanks from a supplier in SC, and we airbrush them in house here in NC. We don't outsource. We don't cut corners. Every batch goes through our Canna-Lure process right here at home, and every lure is held to the standard we'd hold our own gear to — because we fish with these too.

We test on real water, in real conditions, chasing real fish. If it doesn't perform for us, it doesn't go out the door.
